The ReLife© DNA: The "Soft Refurb" Standard

ReLife© screens represent the qualitative peak of refurbishment for iPad. Unlike so-called "heavy" refurbishments that replace the backlight or the digitiser, the ReLife© process is based on the concept of preserving key parts. We keep the original manufacturer LCD/OLED panel, polariser and digitiser (touch). Only the external glass pane, if broken, is replaced by a piece of identical chemical grade, laminated in a clean room under a controlled atmosphere.

Technical Warning: Serialisation (Parts Pairing), True Tone and Apple Pencil

For repair professionals, it is crucial to note that Apple uses a serialisation mechanism (Parts Pairing) on recent generations of iPad (Pro, Air and mini). The display management chip (Display IC) is paired with the original motherboard.

• True Tone Restoration: The True Tone function can be easily restored using a compatible programmer (such as the JC V1SE or JC V1S Pro boxes equipped with the corresponding iPad ribbon cable) to transfer data from the old screen to the new one.
• The "Jitter" phenomenon (Waves with the Apple Pencil): As the ReLife© screen is equipped with an original Apple chip (write-locked for security data), a programmer cannot correct the problem of stylus calibration loss. Changing the screen will result in slightly wavy lines during slow diagonal movements with the Apple Pencil.
• The professional solution (Apple Pencil): For a restoration 100% compliant with graphic designers' requirements and to avoid this software restriction, the only solution is micro-soldering. The technician must desolder the Display IC chip from the original broken screen to graft it onto this new ReLife© screen.
