Mechanic W09 - High Precision Farad Capacitor Spot Welder
Description
The Mechanic W09 is an industrial-grade spot welding station, essential for workshops specialising in iPhone battery reconditioning (BMS transfer) and lithium pack assembly. Designed to meet the requirements of B2B technicians, it overcomes the weaknesses of conventional portable welders by offering constant power and perfect weld point repeatability, thus preventing cell overheating.
At the heart of the system, two Farad super-capacitors replace the traditional internal lithium battery. This technology delivers a peak power of 5500W and an amperage of 1100A with near-zero internal impedance. The "Double-Pulse" system (preheating the area then main welding) ensures molecular fusion of the nickel onto the battery pole without risk of piercing or cold welding, even on nickel strips up to 0.4 mm thick.
The compact high-resistance ABS chassis features a colour LPS LCD screen allowing granular power control over thousands of levels. Ergonomics are enhanced by an integrated pure copper welding pen, optimising thermal and electrical conductivity for surgical precision on smartphone battery connectors.

Workshop Advice & Usage
For optimal results when replacing an iPhone BMS, set the power between 15% and 30% depending on the thickness of the original ribbon cable. Excessive pressure on the welding tips increases contact resistance and decreases efficiency: let the weight of the pen make the contact. Ensure you regularly clean the copper tips using a fine abrasive stone to remove oxidation and maintain maximum conductivity, ensuring clean and shiny weld spots without carbon residue.
