Workshop Advice & Usage

For effective results, the Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro should be placed in a location where it receives at least 2 signal bars (approximately -65 dBm) from the original router. If placed too far away, the speed will be unstable; if too close, the area extension will be negligible. Being limited to the 2.4 GHz band, this model is sensitive to interference (microwaves, Bluetooth, neighbouring networks). In case of synchronisation difficulties with the Xiaomi Home app, perform a physical "Reset" using a paperclip for 5 seconds until the orange LED flashes. Note that this repeater does not have an Ethernet port: it cannot, therefore, be used to connect a non-Wi-Fi device via a cable.
