Workshop Tips & Usage

The SUGON 2020D is very powerful; for desoldering sensitive components, always start with a medium airflow (setting 40-50) to avoid the "popcorn" effect on the chips. Technical Tip: Use the provided angled nozzles for working under a microscope; this allows you to keep your hand in an ergonomic position without obstructing your field of vision. To remove an integrated circuit without damaging the board, set the station to 350-370°C and make constant circular movements. Finally, never cut the main switch until the station has completed its automatic cooling cycle (temperature displayed below 100°C) to preserve the resistance.
