Western Digital M.2 NVMe SSD 512GB - PCIe Gen3 x4 (Refurbished Version)
Description
The Western Digital 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD is a high-performance storage component designed for technicians and IT resellers handling upgrades or repairs of modern systems. Built for seamless integration into next-generation laptops and compact workstations, this SSD leverages the bandwidth of the PCI Express bus to eliminate bottlenecks associated with older SATA interfaces.
Featuring Western Digital’s 3D NAND technology, this module delivers high storage density with optimized power consumption, helping extend battery life in mobile devices. Unlike traditional drives, the NVMe protocol significantly reduces data access latency, enabling smooth multitasking and efficient handling of large files or complex databases. Its compact, casing-free design also enhances natural heat dissipation within ultra-thin chassis.
Each refurbished unit undergoes a rigorous technical audit, including data block integrity testing, cache persistence verification, and S.M.A.R.T. data analysis. This process ensures professionals receive a reliable, fully operational product with a remaining endurance (TBW) level aligned with intensive “Office” or “Creative” usage standards.

Workshop Advice & Usage
During installation, ensure that the M.2 mounting screw is present on the motherboard, as it is never included with the SSD alone. A critical service point: always verify that the target system supports NVMe boot (UEFI required). On some ultra-thin laptops, adding a thermal pad between the SSD and the chassis can help prevent thermal throttling during heavy data transfers. Finally, as this is an NVMe model, it is not compatible with M.2 slots wired exclusively for SATA.
