The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 is a connected video surveillance solution designed for residential or professional security and home automation. It offers 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) thanks to its 8MP sensor and f/1.6 large-aperture lens, allowing for precise detail even in low light. Its artificial intelligence, powered by a 1 TOPS chip, processes data locally to ensure fast and confidential detection of human movement, pet presence, or baby crying, without excessive cloud-related latency.

In terms of connectivity, this camera supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), reducing interference and ensuring a stable video stream. It is also equipped with the Bluetooth 5.4 protocol for simpler and more secure pairing via the Xiaomi Home app. H.265 video encoding optimises storage space on microSD cards (from 8 to 256 GB), Cloud, or NAS, by reducing file size. To ensure optimal operation of person detection and avoid false positives (such as pets weighing less than 4 kg), make sure to correctly configure alert zones and filters in the Xiaomi Home app. When positioning the camera, especially when ceiling-mounted, it is essential to enable 180° image rotation in the settings. Use a minimum Class 10 microSD card, formatted in FAT32, to ensure smooth recording of 4K streams.
